    After hours of search for what might be causing a 7 to 8 seconds loading delay for Revolution Slider, it just seems as if it is trying to load the image from a different path and when it cannot find it, it loads the one that is indicated in the path. The problem is, the error states that : jquery.themepunch.revolution.min.js:7 /images/12-Petzl.jpg Could not be loaded !
    But it is the path to the loaded image 7 seconds later.

    We fixed it for the video playing on the first page by removing mention of images and just playing the video. But the other page has images so we cannot use that work around.

    Is there any fix for that delay?
    Thanks.

    Hello,

    Right.

    It’s returning an error on the Revolution Slider script at the console:
    Uncaught ReferenceError: self is not defined

    Probably this is related to the way you are adding the content and scripts on the page. Can you please create a test page with the same content but adding in the normal way (without javascript) ? Probably the error on console it’s causing this issue.

    If on the test page works normally, this means that the way you are adding the content on the page is the issue. If it’s the case you can try adding the revolution slider scripts after the content is added on the page.

    An alternative is use a carousel with fadeIn/fadeOut animations instead of revolution slider, since you have just images and not text layers. Also, with a carousel the performance of the page will be better.

    Kind Regards,

    Rodrigo.

    Hello,

    Unfortunately we can’t help you with this issue with the node.js app and revolution slider (probably this is the reason of delay and console errors when use images). Support for features (integration with node.js app) that are not included on the template is out of our support scope.

    But here is a implementation of carousel that should help you on this:

    1) HTML:

    <setion class="section border-0 m-0">
    	<div class="container-fluid">
    		<div class="row">
    			<div class="col px-0">

    				<div class="owl-carousel custom-carousel-style-1" data-plugin-options="{'items': 1}">
    					<div style="background-image: url(https://teknik.co/images/12-Petzl.jpg); background-size: cover; background-position: center;"></div>
    				</div>

    			</div>
    		</div>
    	</div>
    </setion>

    * Put in the same place of revolution slider HTML.

    2) (css/custom.css):

    .custom-carousel-style-1 .owl-item > div {
    	height: 200px;
    }

    @media (max-width: 767px) {
    	.custom-carousel-style-1 .owl-item > div {
    		height: 150px;
    	}
    }

    * You can control the height in small resolutions with CSS media queries.

    We hope this helps.

    Kind Regards,

    Rodrigo.
