    Hi Jonas

    Using this demo page as an example:

    https://portotheme.com/html/porto/7.5.0/index-classic-color.html

    This is a problem we have faced many times but I never wrote to you for a solution. I would like to know how we can take the nav area and make it shorter. In other words – we want less padding/margin above and below the logo and nav items. If we try to reduce this, then we are left with a gap between the nav and the slider. Using the developer inspector, I see the heights come in as hard numbers. If I try reducing padding or margins, the nav bar itself still remains the same height. How can I reduce the height and not mess up the slider below?

    If you look at the attached image, you will see that we want to make the navbar height only what you see in the red outlined area. The top bar height can stay the same but we want a “less tall” nav area.

    Can you please tell us how we might accomplish this? See image below

    Thank you!

    Hello Eric,

    By default the header with shrink effect has the header-container with a 100px height defined by CSS.
    You can just change this value trough inline CSS, for example:

    ...
    ..
    <div class="header-container container" style="min-height: 80px;">
    ..
    ...

    Please, try that and let us know if you need further assistance.

    Kind Regards,

    Rodrigo.
