If it’s not a full width column, you should control with CSS max-width. For example if you have two columns in the row:
max-width: 50%;
The best way is send the HTML and CSS code you are trying for us, so we can reproduce your layout and send the best solution for you. Would be great and even better if you can send a online test link with your project for us, so we can inspect the code and send the best solution for you.
