Regarding vertical navigations:
Really has an issue with chevron-down icon on mobile that’s not expanding on click. Really sorry for this issue. We fixed it now for the next version of Porto and here’s a fix to you:

If I use any one of the vertical navigations, on large screens it has slide animation as in feature-navigations-vertical-slide.html and when I go on smaller screens it has other animation as in feature-navigations-vertical-expand.html
This is the expected behavior for now. I am adding a feature request in our to-do list for future versions a support for vertical-slide navigation on mobile too.
Regarding your other notes:
This works that way for all HTML templates on ThemeForest, integrating features between demos and pages requires a little work and knowledge of HTML / CSS.
But please note we are always working on improvements and all suggestions from our customers are considered for the next updates, including your suggestions!
