another icon or none on nav items

Hello, on page blog-large-image-sidebar-left.html there is a treeview to the left. Is it possible to change the arrow thats in front of the text to another icon, or remove it completely for items that does not have anything to collapse?

Hello,

First add a custom class in the nav list:

<ul class="nav nav-list flex-column mb-5 custom-nav-list">...

* This way make sure we will not affect other nav lists in the template.

To remove the arrow add in (css/custom.css):

ul.custom-nav-list.nav-list li a {
    padding-left: 0;
}
ul.custom-nav-list.nav-list li a:before {
    content: none;
}

If want to change the icon:
(css/custom.css):

ul.custom-nav-list.nav-list li a:before {
    content: "\f061";
}

* The content icon code I get from here at FontAwesome website:

Oh Right!

This way we need identify the items that has submenus. Here’s and example of nav list structure with identifiers:

And here’s the custom CSS code you need:

ul.custom-nav-list.nav-list > li:not(.has-submenu) a {
    padding-left: 0;
}
ul.custom-nav-list.nav-list > li:not(.has-submenu) a:before {
    content: none;
}
ul.custom-nav-list.nav-list > li.has-submenu ul li:not(.has-submenu) > a:before {
    content: none;
}
