Cookie options, expiry etc

I am using the gdpr-bar/preferences to set cookie consent, but this only saves them as session cookies so the gdpr-bar pops back up every time you close and re-open the browser. How do I set the expiry, path, secure for the cookies please?

Great thanks, that worked. I have changed it to 365 days as I believe that cookie acceptance should be a max of 1 year. Will this change be included in future updates and could it be set to 365 in your updates?
