Video background is not seen on Safari

Hello,

with Safari 14.1 on macOS 11.3 in pages like this: https://www.okler.net/previews/ezy/2.1.0/index-page-header-video-background.html

the video is not seen. Instead of the video you see only the image.
Is there a way to solve this problem?

Hello,

That problem is probably related to “autoplay” videos been disabled in the browsers settings. HTML5 videos will not autoplay when that is disabled in the browsers. On Chrome it comes enabled and as you can see it will play the video on page load.

this is a problem, but fortunately it only occurs with the latest version of Safari.
Do you think it would be possible to “bypass” the Safari block? Very difficult, right?

Sorry but we could not find a way to enable autoplay for the video on Safari, we will make a few more tests and let you know if we figure how to change that.
